Sepia Tones

Sepia (pronounced sea-pe-uh) tones are brownish colors, usually used to give a photo an old-fashioned or romantic look. Color digital photos can be easily converted to sepia by your photographer. This effect is best used on photos with a clearly defined subject without a lot of distraction in the background. It's a beautiful effect, but I tend to use it sparingly because only certain photos really look their best in sepia.
