Photo Mat Instead of Guestbook

Matting a large photo and having it at the reception is another alternative to the traditional guestbook. Usually couples use one of their engagement photos, or sometimes they include a framed invitation as well. An 8x10 photo matted to 11x14 is usually ample room for signatures, unless you have an unusually large number of guests. Your photographer may offer this service, or you can have the photo taken and then buy the mats sold for this purpose at a craftstore. The result is a memorable record of your guests' signatures and well-wishes that you can display in your home.
