Details. Planning a wedding requires bringing a myriad of details together into one wonderful day. And when that day comes, it usually goes by in a blur of happy emotion for the bride & groom. Details tend to fall by the wayside, and that is as it should be. But it's nice to be able to literally look back on all the special touches and people that helped make your day so wonderful.

Photo of a bride's cascading bouquet done in both color and black & white. I love photography, especially photographing weddings. I dream about it. I've been shooting photos since 2nd grade, and was first published in the Arizona Republic in the early 1990s.

For me photography is a dance, a dance between the lens and the people. My job is to really show the emotions and moments of your day. The feelings and the dreams made real. There's something unique about what you can see with a camera that you might not see with your eyes.

Photography captures those moments in time that are there for an instant and then gone: the look on a groom's face when he sees his bride for the first time, a loving look between the couple on their wedding day, the flowers at the height of their bloom. Pure joy. Tears of happiness. And the details that you worked so hard to bring together.

I do this unobtrusively. I believe in telling a story as it unfolds naturally, catching those moments as they happen -- from the bride & groom getting ready before the wedding to the last dance. Along with this, I believe in doing a few natural "formal portraits". Formal in the sense that they are organized; natural in the sense that yes, a bride & groom will naturally hold hands and look at each other with love.

I'd love to be there to capture your moments.
